Nominee’s Bio: Cindy is currently serving as Archdeacon for the Diocese of San Diego. Since her appointment, she works in collaboration with Bishop Susan, providing leadership and pastoral support for the deacons. On Sundays, she travels to different churches throughout the diocese, serving as a deacon and talking about growing the number of deacons. Cindy has served as a deacon at three churches in the diocese and is currently a member of the Commission on Ministry. She was recently appointed a chaplain to retired clergy. Her past jobs prior to ordination include hospital spiritual care, Marriage and Family Therapy, and teaching special needs children.

Nominee’s Statement in Favor of Their Candidacy: My current work in supporting deacons and providing pastoral care to both clergy and laity, along with my background in Marriage and Family Therapy, allow me to address difficult situations with compassion and confidentiality. I see the skills of looking at the entire picture before decision-making as crucial in serving on this Board.
