Nominee’s Bio: The Rev. Brenda J. Sol has served as the rector of St. Andrew’s-Encinitas for the past eight years. She has been involved in many roles in the dioceses including chair of the Clergy Enrichment Committee, Standing Committee President, and a member of both the Bishop Search Committee and the Transformation Leadership Taskforce. Before being ordained to the priesthood, she worked in positions ranging from education to accounting to an entrepreneurial endeavor.

Nominee’s Statement in Favor of Their Candidacy: If elected, I would bring my ability to hold the big picture in mind, while managing the details. I am a person of integrity, and have been acknowledged in my other diocesan roles as someone who will dive in and help get the job done. Additionally, I am a systems thinker and will contribute an innovative perspective.
